We specialize in the education and training of underserved communities
96% of Highlands students are socioeconomically challenged and some have experienced homelessness or have been involved with the justice system. 97% of our students were born outside of the United States and a significant number come from conflict-torn regions like Afghanistan and Ukraine. For many, Highlands is their first opportunity to learn in a classroom environment.
Highlands is the largest school in California that allows adult students to obtain their US high school diploma, providing a much-needed service to an often overlooked population.
Because of strong financial management, oversight and accountability, Highlands is well-positioned to provide high-quality education to its students into the future.
